Description: As part of our commitment to providing the most reliable service to our clients we have taken the decision to move our hosting platform.

In order to implement this we do unfortunately need to disrupt our service to you for a short time whilst we bring new servers in to our network infrastructure.

What do you need to do?

Nothing unless your application white lists our IP addresses in which case you will need to change the IP addresses as below. This most likely will only affect those clients using our web service API and have white listed our IP addresses.

The new IP addresses are listed below:-

Inbound to TextAnywhere:
185.78.54.1
185.78.54.2
185.78.54.3
185.78.54.4

Outbound from TextAnywhere:
185.78.54.6
185.78.54.7
185.78.54.8

During the above times our services will be temporarily available.

Expected Impact:  
  • Outbound messages:
New submissions will not be possible during the service downtime. Messages previously scheduled to be sent during the downtime will be sent on service resumption.
  • Inbound messages:
Temporarily unavailable. Inbound messages, including replies to earlier messages, dedicated long numbers and to short codes, will be queued and released on completion.
  • Delivery statuses:
Temporarily unavailable. Delivery statuses for earlier sent messages will be queued and updated on completion.
  • Web services:
Temporarily unavailable.
  • Web applications:
Temporarily unavailable.

TextAnywhere Service Alert: 24/06/2019 17:48 – Delivery Status issue 18/06/2019

This is to notify you of a service issue, which may impact your use of our services, as follows:

Status: Update
Description: On Tuesday 18th June between 07:55 – 08:20 BST one of our providers experienced an issue on their platform which affected a small subset of outgoing SMS traffic that had been routed via the affected provider.

This resulted in delivery status information being delayed for the affected traffic. For a very small number of messages some delivery status information may have unfortunately been lost.

Please note this issue only affected a small percentage of the total SMS traffic sent during this period, the majority of which was sent via alternative routes.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Description: Our network provider has confirmed the issue has now been resolved and we are now receiving messages.

MO messages are currently not being received for these numbers. Our network provider is investigating this with the highest priority.

All other serivces are unaffected.
